“ Good dumplings and service. The shopping center is always a bit crowded on weekends so parking can be a challenge. ”
“ Spicy beef noodle soup: 4/5 noodles cooked perfectly. Broth is spicy and hits right in the back of the throat. Veggies really soak up the spice. Beef pieces were limited and weird cuts. pork/shrimp/chive dumplings fried: 2/5 very chive forward. Whole chuck of shrimp in the middle. On its own, not super flavorful but dipped them in our spicy noodle soup or dumpling sauce. Dumplings in chili oil: 5/5 DELICIOUS. It may look spicy but it's not. Just so flavorful Xiaolong soup dumplings: 5/5 my favorite item we got. Soup inside was flavorful. Dumpling skin was thick enough to hold everything together and not fall apart when picking it up. You can order thru QR code or order at register. I'd come back to order the xiaolong bao fried. ”
“ This restaurant located in the Chinatown plaza. It is at the corner of the plaza. Restaurant furniture is very contemporary. The menu is not big. They include dumplings, cold braised dish, and drink. We got the braised meat platter. This braised meat included the intestines, pig ear, beef shank, pork skin. This dish comes with garlic sauce. The dish is great to share. We also got the cuttlefish dumplings. This dumpling not normally seen. It tastes good. Not much service. Food prepared by Mexican workers but still tastes good. ”
“ I've been here twice now and it's safe to say I'm obsessed! The food is so authentic, fresh, and tasty that it cures any feelings I have of homesickness. They also sell uncooked dumplings to-go! It's a casual spot with the option to order via QR code or by the window. ”
“ Pork feet in secret sauce 10/10- chewy pork knuckles in a spicy and flavorful sauce, super delicious! Tripe in chili paste 8.5/10- you can pick whether you want it spicy or not and we got it very spicy, the sauce had fresh chillies in it! Pork ear in chili sauce 10/10- perfectly gel-like and a has a little crunch to it, there was the perfect amount of chili oil to it, my go-to order here! Spicy beef noodle soup 7.5/10- the noodles were on the thinner side and cooked nicely, and the spicy broth was pretty good, but most of the meat pieces were pretty dry and hard Boiled shrimp dumplings 8/10- comes with 12 two-bite sized dumplings, filled with a bit of egg and leek, a very tasty combination! Fried shrimp and pork dumplings 8.5/10- personally liked their pan friend dumplings more than the boiled ones. They were perfectly crispy on the bottom and very juice on the inside Fried crawfish dumplings 8.5/10- the dumplings were filled with the juices coming from the crawfish so it was kind of like eating a soup dumpling, the crawfish flavor was there but I prefer the pork and shrimp dumplings price-wise Overall, the dumplings were great but I personally love the appetizers more- pig feet and pig ear especially! ”
“ They have a LOT of dumpling options. I tried the two pictured here because my husband doesn't eat shrimp (or any fish or seafood) and I'm unfamiliar with trotters and tripe. Everything we ordered was exceptional, so I'm certain that the other things on the menu are just as good if those are things you enjoy! The restaurant is clean and the service is good. I have zero complaints about my visit and would recommend this little dumpling shop. ”
“ First time to TOHD, and I place an order to go through their online ordering portal. I grab 3 packs of dumplings: shrimp dumplings, beef and celery dumplings, and chive egg dumplings, all boiled with each order containing 12 dumplings. When you order them to-go, they package each dumpling into its own individual holding cell. The dough wrappers were supple and not overly doughy, not soggy, and definitely held together. Mouth-wise, the dough was soft, thin, with a clean bite. The beef dumplings were clean, but flavorwise nothing for your tastebuds to write home about. The celery peanuts had a pleasant flavor and were enjoyable to snack on. I enjoyed the sliced beef and beef tripe in chili paste. Neither item was chewy; in fact each was quite tender with the same consistency throughout all the slices in the dish. This dish is not saucy; in fact there is no excess sauce contained in that dishes contained. The slices seem to be tossed in chili sauce, so the flavor is present, but lacks any intensity of numbness or heat. The pan-fried pork buns were neatly organized in their containers. The dough was light and airy. The insides were pork. Overall, flavorwise, this is "comfortable, lackadaisical, forgettable" flavor. But the care, preparation, and texture of their dishes is on point. So if you want well-prepared comfort food that is not greasy, this place can give you that belly rub. If you're expecting to be wowed, this place is not it. Then again, dumplings can be a difficult medium to impress on with flavor. But texture wise, I was quite impressed with how consistent every single bite was. I have mixed feelings about their takeout packaging. Yes, they make sure the dumplings don't stick to each other and are not soggy. However, those containers are very flimsy. If you ordered a lot like I did, you'll have a bunch of stacked flimsy containers. Add in the little capsules containers of chili sauce (which leak), and the bag containing your order may become oily during handling and transport. However, I will say that they provide quality takeout utensils. A relatively nice pair of wooden chopsticks, a solid plastic spoon, a toothpick, and a napkin are included. ”
